GE Vernova offers a co-op/internship in Gas Power for engineering students with 1–2 semesters left. You will receive training, mentorship, and hands-on experience in design, analysis, and testing of turbines, engines, and generators.

Participants engage with drafting and manufacturing teams to develop new concepts and improvements while preparing for a full-time career in power engineering. Eligibility requires US work authorization and a strong GPA.

Job Description Summary Job Description If you have a passion for technology and want a career in engineering, we want you! As a Gas Power Co-op/Intern we will prepare you for an exciting career, tackling one of the world’s toughest challenges of providing cleaner, more accessible energy.

What You Will Do:

• Receive technical training, mentorship, and coaching from world-class technologists and experienced technical managers
• Grow your technical expertise in your chosen field and expand your skills in new areas.
• Engineering interns in Gas Power experience technically challenging assignments in the power generation industry focusing on areas such as of Systems, Analysis, Design, Quality, Reliability, Digital, and Integration & Test.
• Perform design and analysis of product lines in areas such as steam turbine, gas turbines, gas engines and generators Responsibilities include: Develop and implement new design concepts and design improvements. You may work with the drafting team to create or update the drawings, and partner with the manufacturing team to solve problems that arise out of the complex manufacturing processes required to make these parts.

Potential Locations Include:

• Greenville, South Carolina; Schenectady, New York; Atlanta, Georgia

• Must have one to two semesters left prior to graduation and be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering discipline as listed below
• The following majors are eligible: Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering. Other Eligibility Requirements Must have the ability to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship

Benefits Available to you:

• Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.
• Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern's permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
• Employee Assistance Program, providing 24/7 confidential assessment, counseling and referral services
• GE Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) after their accumulated service reaches 90 days, and they meet any other eligibility requirements as defined in the plans. (Eligibility occurs on the 1st of the month following the 90th day.)
• The pay for this position ranges from $1,000-2,000 weekly based on years of undergraduate/graduate field of study completed.
