Alvarez & Marsal Deutschland GmbH in West Palm Beach, FL invites ambitious students to join our High Net Worth Private Client Services Tax internship for Summer 2027. You’ll work with a multidisciplinary tax team delivering personalized solutions to high-net-worth individuals and domestic/international clients.

You’ll assist with tax compliance (1040, 1041, 709, FinCEN 114), research complex tax issues, and prepare deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in accredited college/university pursuing Bachelors or Master’s in business administration, accounting, finance, taxation or other relevant field.
  • Plan to meet minimum educational requirements for CPA eligibility and licensure in the state of your assigned office location
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Experience with all Microsoft Office products (with emphasis on Excel)
  • Experience with GoSystems, OneSource, and research software preferred
  • Ability to simultaneously work on several projects and effectively manage deadlines
  • High motivation to learn and grow
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in future.

Responsibilities

  • Attend client calls to understand critical areas and apply tax technical knowledge to client situations
  • Assist with creating deliverables that are concise and address client needs
  • Build internal relationships within the Tax team

The Team

We’re currently growing one of our Federal Tax specialty areas, Our Private Client Services (PCS) practice. PCS works with private companies, their owners, and other domesticandinternationalhighnet worth individuals, serving as their advisor, advocate, teammate and partner. We are dedicated to helping our clients achieve their long-term goals by delivering highly personalized solutions that suit their unique needs. Due to our tremendous growth, we're seeking an Intern to join our team.

How you will contribute

As an Intern within Private Client Services, Tax you will:

  • Assist with providing tax and consulting services to high-net-worth individuals in the areas of individual income tax, wealth transfer and succession planning,and international tax
  • Assist with tax compliance for individual tax clients working proficiently with specific tax forms as follows: 1040, 1041, 709, and FinCEN 114
  • Support a multidisciplinary team, assisting with tax-planning responsibilities for individual clients
  • Assist with identifying, researching, and providing analysis on a wide range of complex tax issues
  • Attend client calls to understand critical areas of importance and apply tax technical knowledge to specific client situations
  • Assist with creating deliverables that are concise, complete and address the elements deemed critical by the client
  • Seek out opportunities to understand others’ experiences, perspectives and differences
  • Build internal relationships with other members of the Tax team
Qualifications:
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors: Bachelors and/or Master’s in business administration, accounting, finance, taxation or other relevant field
  • Definitive plans for meeting minimum educational requirements for CPA eligibility and licensure in the state of your assigned office location
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to articulate complex information
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Experience with all Microsoft Office products (with an emphasis on Excel)
  • Experience with GoSystems, OneSource, and research software preferred
  • Ability to simultaneously work on several projects and effectively manage deadlines
  • High motivation to learn and grow
  • Detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without the need for employment-based sponsorship now or in the future. A&M will not sponsor applicants for US work visa status for this role

Compensation Statement

The hourly rate is $40 per hour.
