Job summary

Food Lion in Salisbury, NC invites students to join the 11-week paid Summer Internship Program to gain hands-on exposure to the supermarket industry, work on meaningful projects, and develop leadership and business skills in a collaborative team setting.

Participants will engage in learning activities, Lunch & Learn sessions with business leaders, community service through Food Lion Feeds, and end-of-program presentations to executives. Housing and transportation are provided as needed."

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, retail, or related field.
• Minimum GPA 3.0; transcript required.
• US citizenship or permanent employment authorization.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn multiple tasks.

Program Overview

Internship positions are available for a broad range of challenging assignments. Our Summer Internship Program provides an opportunity to learn more about the complex supermarket industry. Internship participants will have the ability to develop the leadership skills and business knowledge they will need to begin their career. This internship experience is an opportunity to work on projects that are meaningful and hands‑on. Throughout the summer, interns will work in a team environment designed to promote and reward individuality, innovation, leadership, and strong business results.

Program Qualifications
