Job summary

Groupe Clarins in New York is seeking an Intern – Financial Planning & Analysis to support FP&A with analysis, budgeting, and reporting for E‑Commerce, CRM, and media initiatives. The role is based onsite in NYC with opportunities to contribute to strategic financial insights.

The internship is full-time equivalent, requiring 30–35 hours per week for at least 6 months, with a target start mid-January 2027. Onsite attendance in the NYC office is expected on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a financial role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, LOOKUP, SUMIF).

Responsibilities

• Assist FP&A with monthly sales and P&L reporting, analysis and planning.
• Support budgeting processes and monthly actuals with business partners.
• Analyze data to identify trends and provide insights to finance and business teams.
• Develop and maintain reports and processes for continuous improvement.
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects as needed.

The role:

You will support the FP&A team by providing the business with analysis and insights in order to drive informed decisions to reach our financial goals and ensure the long‑term stability and profitability of the business.

What you’ll do:

In an environment where everything is fast-paced, you will contribute to all 5 pillars of the group strategy: people‑centric, brand‑build, consumer‑obsessed, digitally minded, and committed to responsible beauty. You will be a contributor in managing the P&L and providing support to the business working mainly on the E-Commerce, CRM, and media scope. You will help improve financial performance and assist in instilling a ROI mindset within the organization.

• Assist the FP&A team with monthly sales and P&L reporting, analysis, and planning.
• Provide support to business partners through the monthly actuals and budgeting processes.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights to finance and business teams. Extract and analyze data from multiple datasets.
• Drive continuous improvement through developing and maintaining reports and processes.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects and other tasks as needed.

You are:

• Able to quickly learn new systems and tools.
• Curious, with the desire to constantly learn.
• Highly driven, self‑motivated, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
• Analytical and has strong problem‑solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to organize and prioritize workload while managing to meet deadlines.

You have:

• 0-2 years prior experience in a financial role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Very strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables, LOOKUP, SUMIF, etc.
