Job summary

SupportFinity™ is offering an exciting Financial Analyst Intern position for Summer 2026, based in Santa Clara. This on-site internship will provide hands-on experience in financial planning, budgeting, and enterprise resource planning systems, allowing interns to support cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates will be currently enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s program and possess strong analytical and Excel skills. Responsibilities will include preparing financial reports, assisting in budget tracking, and conducting ad-hoc financial analyses.

Job description

Financial Analyst Intern – Summer 2026

This on-site internship offers hands‑on experience in financial planning, budgeting, and enterprise resource planning systems. Interns will support cross‑functional teams to track spending, evaluate budget variances, and prepare financial reports.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation, tracking, and analysis of operating expense (OPEX) budgets.
  • Support headcount (HC) planning and workforce cost analysis in collaboration with finance and business teams.
  • Help monitor capital expenditure (CAPEX) requests and spending against approved budgets.
  • Analyze budget vs. actual results and identify key variances and trends.
  • Assist in maintaining financial data accuracy across ERP and financial planning tools.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards to track expense performance and support management decision‑making.
  • Support ad‑hoc financial analysis and special projects related to budgeting and financial performance.
  • Extract, load, and analyze financial data from ERP systems to support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.
Education & Experience
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Clear communication skills and willingness to work collaboratively.
Skills & Other Requirements
  • Self‑starter with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Basic knowledge of financial principles and data analysis techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze data to identify trends and patterns.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced work environment.
  • Internship duration: 10–14 weeks.
Working Conditions
  • Role based on‑site in Santa Clara.
  • Regular use of a computer and office equipment.
  • Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job.
Physical Requirements
  • Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.
  • Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues.
