Job summary

Dominion Energy is seeking a CFO rotational internship candidate to support Treasury, Asset Management, Corporate Planning, Investor Relations, M&A/Strategy, and Segment Finance. The program offers hands-on experience in financial modeling, capital markets, due diligence, and strategic presentations.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance or related fields with a 2028–2029 graduation window, strong accounting fundamentals, and exceptional MS Office/Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Interest in finance and a desire to gain practical finance experience.
• No experience in energy or related industries required.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and ability to interpret financial data.
• Excellent quantitative skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Solid working knowledge of and experience with MS Office applications especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing financial models forecasting and evaluating financial performance of prospective investments and corporate finance initiatives.
• Assist in planning and execution of capital markets and financing transactions including due diligence and pro forma analysis.
• Assist in execution of merger/acquisitions and divestiture transactions including due diligence and pro forma analysis.
• Assist in developing presentations for internal and external use (senior management investors rating agencies)
• Attend meetings with internal and external partners
• Perform market, industry and company research
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Provide support to a select group within the CFO organization including Treasury, Asset Management, Corporate Planning, Investor Relations, M&A/Strategy, and Segment Finance. Potential assignments within the CFO rotational internship include:

• Assist in the development of financial models that forecast and evaluate financial performance of prospective organic investment projects, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, corporate financings, tax considerations, and long-range corporate budgets
• Assist in the planning and execution of capital markets and financing transactions (debt, equity, equity-linked securities, and interest rate derivatives) including due diligence and pro forma financial analysis
• Assist in the execution of merger, acquisition, and divestiture transactions (corporate and asset) including due diligence and pro forma financial analysis
• Assist in the development of presentations for internal (senior management, risk and other internal committees) and external use (investors, rating agencies, strategic partners)
• Participate in meetings with internal and external partners
• Perform market, industry, and company specific research
• Perform additional duties as requested or assigned

Hourly Rate:

$25.00 - $27.00

The hourly rate listed is the rate we anticipate paying for this position. If a range is listed, the actual hourly rate offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate's degree type, academic major, and/or school classification (e.g., sophomore, junior, senior).
