Plexus Corp. is offering an Environmental Health & Safety internship to support site EH&S tasks across multiple Plexus manufacturing locations. You will contribute to regulatory conformance, incident investigations, and daily compliance activities while gaining hands-on experience in a global manufacturing environment.

• Student working toward a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field for the entire duration of internship.
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Aid in Lockout Tagout training.
• Aid in Accident and Incident investigations.
• Weekly hazardous waste inspection.
• Monthly spill prevention and control plan inspection.
• Primary EH&S contact for internal customers where assigned.
• Interface with Corporate EHS management for resources while maintaining local ownership.
• Maintain records to demonstrate compliance.
• Learn Plexus manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for best EHS practices.

The rate offered within this range will be based upon the geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level. Hourly Rate:

$20 - $24/hr.

OVERVIEW

TheEnvironmentalHealth & Safety Intern provides direct support to drive site EH&S issues including regulatory and Environmental, Health and Safety Management System and ISO14001 conformance at multiple Plexus manufacturing locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Aid in Lockout Tagout training.
• Aid in Accident and Incident investigations
• Weekly hazardous waste inspection
• Monthly spill prevention and control plan inspection
• Where assigned, act as the primary first point of EHS contact for internal customers to ensure expectations are met.
• Interfaces with and utilizes the Corporate EHS functional management team for resources and expertise, while maintaining local ownership of issues.
• Aid in Site is proactive in identifying, maintaining and complying with applicable county, federal, state and local regulatory requirements.
• Aid in day-to-day compliance activities and maintain records to demonstrate compliance.
• Obtain knowledge and understanding of Plexus' manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for best EHS management practices.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Student working toward a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field for the entire duration of internship.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Junior level status
• GPA: 3.0 or higher is preferred
