Plexus Corp in Wisconsin (Neenah) is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Intern for a 7-month Co-Op starting January 2027. This non-exempt internship offers hands-on exposure to site EH&S issues and ISO14001 conformance across multiple Plexus locations.

You will assist with Lockout Tagout training, incident investigations, inspections, and regulatory compliance, while learning Plexus' manufacturing processes and opportunities for future growth in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field for the internship duration.
• Strong interest in regulatory compliance and safety in a manufacturing setting.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.

Responsabilités

• Aid in Lockout Tagout training.
• Assist in accident and incident investigations.
• Weekly hazardous waste inspection.
• Monthly spill prevention and control plan inspection.
• Serve as a primary EH&S contact for assigned internal customers.
• Coordinate with Corporate EH&S and apply resources while maintaining local ownership.
• Assist site in identifying and complying with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain records to demonstrate day-to-day compliance.
• Learn Plexus manufacturing processes and identify best EH&S practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Hourly Rate:

$20 - $24/hr.

OVERVIEW

The Environmental Health & Safety Intern provides direct support to drive site EH&S issues including regulatory and Environmental, Health and Safety Management System and ISO14001 conformance at multiple Plexus manufacturing locations.

This role will be a Co-Op position for a minimum of 7 months spanning from January 2027 to August 2027.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Aid in Lockout Tagout training.
• Aid in Accident and Incident investigations
• Weekly hazardous waste inspection
• Monthly spill prevention and control plan inspection
• Where assigned, act as the primary first point of EHS contact for internal customers to ensure expectations are met.
• Interfaces with and utilizes the Corporate EHS functional management team for resources and expertise, while maintaining local ownership of issues.
• Aid in Site is proactive in identifying, maintaining and complying with applicable county, federal, state and local regulatory requirements.
• Aid in day-to-day compliance activities and maintain records to demonstrate compliance.
• Obtain knowledge and understanding of Plexus' manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for best EHS management practices.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Student working toward a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field for the entire duration of internship.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Junior level status
• GPA: 3.0 or higher is preferreds.
