Job summary

The Environmental Health & Safety Intern at Plexus Corp. provides direct support to drive site EH&S issues including regulatory compliance and Environmental, Health and Safety Management System and ISO14001 conformance at multiple Plexus manufacturing locations.

Hourly Rate: $20 - $24/hr. The internship offers comprehensive benefits, work-life balance, and development opportunities, with less than 40% travel and a strong inclusive culture to empower growth.

Qualifications

• Student working toward a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field for the entire duration of internship.
• Junior level status (preferred).
• GPA: 3.0 or higher is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Aid in Lockout Tagout training.
• Aid in Accident and Incident investigations
• Weekly hazardous waste inspection
• Monthly spill prevention and control plan inspection
• Where assigned, act as the primary first point of EHS contact for internal customers to ensure expectations are met.
• Interfaces with and utilizes the Corporate EHS functional management team for resources and expertise, while maintaining local ownership of issues.
• Aid in Site is proactive in identifying, maintaining and complying with applicable county, federal, state and local regulatory requirements.
• Aid in day-to-day compliance activities and maintain records to demonstrate compliance.
• Obtain knowledge and understanding of Plexus' manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for best EHS management practices.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

The rate offered within this range will be based upon the geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level.
