Description
Energy Transfer is a master limited partnership that owns and operates one of the largest and most diversified portfolios of energy assets in the United States. In total, the Company owns and operates approximately 120,000 miles of natural gas, crude oil, refined products, and natural gas liquids pipelines, terminals, and acquisition and marketing assets which are used to facilitate the purchase and sale of crude oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids, and refined products.
Summary:
This is a twelve (12) week paid internship program beginning May 2027. You must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with an expected graduation date in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
The Energy Transfer Terminal Engineering group supports the Terminal Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Project Management groups at the Northeast Terminal facilities (natural gas liquids processing & refined products storage). Terminal operations include dehydration, fractionation, chilling, refrigerated storage, atmospheric storage, underground storage caverns, marine operations, and pipeline operations.
Required Skills
Undergraduate student in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering preferred (Petroleum Engineering acceptable).
The candidate is required to have good analytical skills, perform calculations and diagnose problems, have good communication skills to facilitate cooperation between different functional groups, be able to identify multiple alternatives and/or recommendations for a given problem, as well as facilitate the implementation of solutions. The interns will spend time in the office and in the field (pipeline and/or industrial manufacturing environment). Personal Protective Equipment and safety training will be provided.
Special Considerations
Previous summer work experience, college laboratory experience, and/or familiarity with process equipment (pumps, valves, compressors, process control systems).
