Job summary

Williams International is offering engineering summer internships for 2027. Interns may be assigned to Mechanical, Aerodynamics, Thermodynamics, Electrical, Software, Manufacturing, Chemical/Material Science, or Quality roles on-site at the World Headquarters in Pontiac, MI.

eligibility requires 60+ credit hours in aerospace or related fields, plus the ability to obtain security clearance if needed. Transportation and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 60 credit hours (must be a junior or senior standing or in a Master’s program)
  • Course study must be in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Civil Engineering
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U. S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Responsibilities

  • Interns may be assigned to any one of the following engineering areas: Mechanical, Aerodynamics, Thermodynamics, Electrical, Software, Manufacturing, Chemical/Material Science, Quality
  • Assist in design, modeling, analysis, testing, and development tasks within assigned engineering area
  • Support project teams with data collection, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration

The Opportunity

Williams International has a need for engineering summer (2027) intern positions.

Interns may be assigned to any one of the following engineering areas:

  • Mechanical: Design, 3D Modeling, 2D Prints, Layout of Engine Systems, Bill of Materials, Stackup Analysis, Structural Analysis
  • Aerodynamics: Design, Performance Analysis, Fluid Flow Requirements
  • Thermodynamics: Engine Cycle Modeling, Engine to Engine Data Comparisons, Cycle and Thermo Analysis
  • Electrical: Design, Embedded Control Systems, Engine Control Software, Component/Assembly Testing
  • Software: Development, and Troubleshooting
  • Manufacturing: Additive, Advanced, Automation, Electrical, Process Development, Facilities, Test Methods
  • Chemical/Material Science: Materials and Processes, Chemical Coating, Welding Process, Penetrant Inspection
  • Quality: Reliability, Requirements, Buy and Make Part Inspection, Manufacturing Process Review, Failure Investigation

Intern Eligibility Requirements
