Job summary

TYLin International is seeking Engineering Designer, Water - Interns to support the planning, design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will assist with drawings, reports, calculations, and cost estimates while learning permitting and coordination tasks.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Civil or Environmental Engineering degree, with interest in learning AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation and ArcGIS.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation is an asset.
• ArcGIS and Environmental Assessment processes are assets.

Responsibilities

• Create conceptual, preliminary and detailed engineering drawings including Plan and Profiles through AutoCAD Civil3D, and prepare reports, calculations, specifications and cost estimates.
• Perform calculations using engineering formulas for design of sanitary and storm sewers and watermains.
• Support project teams in feasibility studies, permitting and coordination with suppliers and contractors.
• Assist with contract administration, construction inspection and business development activities.
