Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Water Engineering Designer intern for the Bellevue office during Summer 2027. You will assist engineers on water and wastewater projects, including pump stations, reservoirs, treatment facilities, and distribution systems.

This role offers hands-on experience across feasibility studies, design, and permitting processes. You will work with engineers, drafters, and staff to gain skills in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, project scheduling, and field site visits, while developing professional

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Civil Engineering degree, 3rd year standing or equivalent.
• Experience with MS Word and Excel and engineering software.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or MicroStation preferred.
• ArcGIS is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with feasibility studies, functional plans, and preliminary detailed design for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Assist with project monitoring and scheduling.
• Perform calculations and analysis.
• Assist in obtaining permits and approvals for construction.
• Collaborate with engineers, drafters, and support staff.
• Attend site visits or inspections.

As a Water Engineering Designer intern, you will assist engineers and engineering staff within a variety of both vertical and linear infrastructure projects, including pump stations, reservoirs, treatment facilities, water distribution and transmission system, collection systems and more.
