Job summary

Novanta Inc. in Apex, NC is seeking a candidate to design, build, and debug hardware used in Mechanical verification testing and to develop mechanical test plans for product verification and quantification of characteristics.

The role requires SolidWorks (preferred), basic hand tools, and experience with measurement equipment; good MS Word/Excel skills and strong communication. ITAR rules apply (US citizen/green card). Housing is provided for out-of-state applicants, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to utilize SolidWorks (preferable) or other 3D aided drafting software.
• Ability to use simple hand tools.
• Experience with standard measurement and test equipment. (Calipers, Dial Indicators, Load Cells, etc...)
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Good communication skills.
• Due to ITAR compliance, this position requires candidates to be a US citizen or green card holder
• Must have dependable transportation.
• GPA of 3.5+

Housing

• Fully furnished housing is provided at no cost to the student if they live out of state.

• The salary for this role will range from $37,430 to $50,000 annually based on full-time employment.Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to location, relevant skills, training, experience, education, etc.
• Certain roles may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives. Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
