Job summary

Sunoco LP is seeking a paid 12-week internship in Texas. You will develop datasets, dashboards, and models to inform strategic decisions, and manage deployment pipelines from development to production.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams and senior leaders, gaining exposure to the oil & gas industry in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates are currently enrolled in college (any degree), preferably juniors, with strong GPA, SQL ability, and experience in Python or R for data

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in college; open to all degrees.
• Preferably junior status with strong academics.
• Self-motivated with a high level of accountability.
• Above-average GPA and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to write SQL and perform data wrangling in Python/R.
• Familiar with Git and version-control workflows.

Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 47 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Europe, and Mexico. The Partnership’s midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 9,500 miles of pipeline and over 100 terminals. This critical infrastructure complements the Partnership’s fuel distribution operations, which serve approximately 10,000 convenience stores, independent dealers, commercial customers, and distributors.

This is a twelve (12) week paid internship program beginning May 2027. You must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with an expected graduation date in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028

During your internship you will have direct access to senior leadership within the organization as well as the opportunity to work on high-impact strategic projects in addition to your core departmental responsibilities. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in learning about the oil & gas industry in a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment. • Develop and refine datasets, reports, dashboards, models that drive strategic decision-making
• Manage project deployment pipelines that takes code from development environments to production.

• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with occasionally tight deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to write database queries using the SQL programming language.
• Experience with data cleaning in either the R or Python programming languages using packages such as `dplyr` and `pandas`.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
