Job summary

Iaas Lc is seeking a Civil Engineering student intern in Fort Worth, TX to assist with planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering projects. You will prepare reports, plans, schedules, and cost estimates using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other software.

Responsibilities include evaluating soil and terrain data, supporting zoning and permit assessments, and performing field inspections as needed. Strong communication, detail orientation, and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Civil Engineering with GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and modify engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, schedules, cost estimates, and design plans using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other software.

• Support zoning, ordinance, and permit assessments; assist with sidewalk cost estimations; determine project feasibility based on data analysis.

• Apply engineering knowledge and advanced mathematics techniques.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments.
• Perform other duties as requested.

• Use reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial photographs to assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical and geologic data for project planning and design.
• Support zoning, ordinance, and permit assessments; assist with sidewalk cost estimations; determine project feasibility based on data analysis.
• Provide field inspection services as needed.
• Apply engineering knowledge and advanced mathematics techniques.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments.
• Perform other duties as requested.

About You

• Student actively pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Civil Engineering; cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater preferred.
