Job summary

MedPro Group is offering a hybrid, year-round internship in Fort Wayne, IN. The ideal candidate is an enrolled student in Finance, Accounting, or Actuarial Science and can commit to 15–20 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week in the summer.

The role involves preparing weekly claim activity reports, maintaining the Defense Panel, and supporting monthly/quarterly claims analyses while collaborating with Divisional Claim managers and vendors.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Finance, Accounting or Actuarial Science bachelor’s degree program.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly claim activity reports and send out high level management metrics.
• Maintain the Defense Panel list.
• Prepare semi-annual updates of the Defense Panel Scorecard.
• Prepare the monthly Claims optimization presentation.
• Work with Divisional Claim managers to optimize operational metrics.
• Assist in preparation of monthly International Claims files and presentations.
• Select claims and prepare forms for quarterly claims audits.
• Validate monthly vendor reports and load into claim management system; correspond with vendors.
• Assist with ad hoc claim audits and data requests.
• Take on other projects as assigned.
• Participate in company and community activities.

This is a hybrid, year-round internship in Fort Wayne, IN. The ideal candidate would begin working part-time hours beginning in August.

In this role, you will…

• Prepare weekly claim activity reports and send out high level management metrics
• Maintain the Defense Panel list.
• Prepare semi-annual updates of the Defense Panel Scorecard.
• Prepare the monthly Claims optimization presentation.
• Work directly with Divisional Claim managers to ensure optimization of operational metrics.
• Assist in preparation of monthly International Claims files and presentations.
• Select claims and prepare forms for quarterly claims audits

• Assist with ad hoc claim audits and data requests

We are looking for candidates with…

• Active enrollment in a Finance, Accounting or Actuarial Science Bachelor’s degree program.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
• Insurance knowledge (helpful but not required).
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently.
• Strong skills with Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Year-round availability to work in the Fort Wayne office 15-20 hours/week during the school year and 40 hours during the summer.
• Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship, both now and in the future.
