Job summary

MedPro Group, a Berkshire Hathaway insurance partner based in Fort Wayne, IN, seeks a detail‑driven policy quoting and issuance professional. You will manage commercial lines quotes, respond to inquiries, and support a growing book of business with accurate processing and strong client communication.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's degree or insurance experience, an Indiana P&C license or plan to obtain it within 90 days, and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant insurance experience.
  • Current Indiana Property & Casualty license or must meet Indiana state licensing within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to maintain consistent/dependable work schedule.
  • Self-starter attitude with attention to detail, organization and sales/negotiation skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM tools a plus.
  • Experience in a team environment with strong listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to draft/revise communications for diverse audiences with timeliness and clarity.
  • Proven ability to manage escalating situations and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

  • Own the process of policy and endorsement quoting and issuance for assigned commercial lines accounts.
  • Meet annual and new business targets and hit ratios.
  • Respond to inquiries via phone, email and fax within required timelines, building relationships.
  • Listen and work with customers/partners to resolve issues; escalate when needed.
  • Acknowledge requests for additional products or services.
  • Demonstrate accuracy in processing and documenting information.
  • Utilize an Agency Management System and internal tools to manage the book of business.
  • Identify at risk accounts and work to retain or reduce losses.
  • Notify customers of late payments and upcoming premium audits.
  • Assist with ongoing or future book rolls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

In this role, you will…

  • Own the process of policy and endorsement quoting and issuance for assigned commercial lines accounts through actively listening to customers and distribution partners, ensuring a clear understanding of their needs.
  • Meet annual and new business targets and hit ratios.
  • Respond to customer and distribution partner inquiries and requests received via phone, email and fax in the required timelines, building and managing long-term relationships.
  • Actively listen and work with customers and distribution partners to research and resolve a wide variety of issues appropriately escalating issues when necessary.
  • Acknowledge and address customer's requests for additional products or services.
  • Demonstrate accuracy in processing/communicating information to customers and distribution partners, and documenting available information.
  • Utilize an Agency Management System and other internal tools to manage the book of business and document available information.
  • Identify at risk accounts, using appropriate tools and resources to retain the account and/or reduces losses.
  • Work with customers to notify on late payment issues and upcoming premium audits.
  • Assist with any ongoing or future book rolls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

We are looking for candidates with…

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience and/or basic knowledge of insurance industry.
  • Current Indiana Property & Casualty License or must meet Indiana state licensing requirements within 90 days of hire date.
  • Ability to maintain consistent/dependable work schedule.
  • A self-starter attitude with excellent attention to detail, organization, management and sales/negotiation skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel), familiarity with CRM tools a plus.
  • Experience in team environment including an ability to connect with peers, customers and distribution partners; active listening skills; clearly and effectively shares information verbally.
  • Ability to draft/revise communication professionally via multiple communication channels to deliver information in a clear and concise manner with diverse audience, ensuring a focus on timeliness and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage escalating situations while maintaining composure, triage and elevate as needed.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
