Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. offers a Civil/Structural engineering internship at our Naperville, IL office, focusing on designing and strengthening critical infrastructure within energy projects. You will gain hands-on experience, participate in design reviews, and contribute to real projects under supervision.

Qualifications include ABET-accredited degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and a graduation window around Dec 2027–Jun 2028. Opportunities to travel and work on-site are part of the program.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required or anticipated.
Graduation between Dec 2027 and Jun 2028 preferred.
Ability to start between May 2027 and Jun 2027.
Coursework in Steel, Concrete, and Structural Analysis preferred.
Solid foundation in core concepts of the major.

Responsibilities

Assist civil/structural design and analysis on project/worksite modifications.
Support energy, environmental and infrastructure projects for the Nuclear Design Group.
Prepare and document drawings, reports, and perform site walkdowns at client locations.

What are skills that would be helpful to your success as a intern?

Graduating with a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an ABET‑accredited school in one of our listed preferred majors.
Preferred grad date between December 2027 and June 2028.
Available to start on an agreed upon date between May 2027 and June 2027.
Preferred Courses: Steel, Concrete, and Structural Analysis.
A solid working foundation with your major’s core concepts.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
Ability to effectively problem solve.
Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites.
Must be able to effectively navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns.Must be able to work outside.
Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.

Interview And Employment Requirements

Completion of pre interview assessments.
College transcript submitted for anyone under 1 year of experience post‑graduation.
Ability to pass pre‑employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client‑specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks according to company and client policies.

Posted Salary Range

USD $24.00 - USD $30.00 /Hr.
