Job summary

ENERCON's Nuclear Design Group is seeking motivated civil/structural engineering interns to contribute to design and analysis for energy projects in a fast-paced environment.

You will gain hands-on experience supporting engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and developing technical skills for the nuclear industry in multiple U.S. offices including Kennesaw, GA.

Qualifications

• Graduating with a bachelor's or master's degree from an ABET- accredited school in one of our listed preferred majors.
• Excellent communication and writing skills are expected.
• Ability to work effectively in teams and contribute as an individual.

What are skills that would be helpful to your success as a intern?

• Graduating with a bachelor's or master's degree from an ABET- accredited school in one of our listed preferred majors.
• Preferred grad date between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Available to start on an agreed upon date between May 2027 and June 2027.
• Preferred Courses: Steel, Concrete, and Structural Analysis.
• A solid working foundation with your major's core concepts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Ability to effectively problem solve.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites.
• Must be able to effectively navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns.
• Must be able to work outside.
• Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.

Interview and Employment Requirements:

• Completion of pre interview assessments.
• College transcript submitted for anyone under 1 year of experience post-graduation.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks according to company and client policies.
