Job summary

ENERCON's Nuclear Design Group is seeking civil/structural engineering interns to assist with design and strengthening of critical infrastructure for energy projects. You will gain hands-on experience while contributing to multi-disciplinary teams at ENERCON offices across the U.S.

Ideal candidates are ABET-accredited program students, with exposure to steel, concrete, and structural analysis, able to travel, and prepared to start between May and June 2027 for a 2027-2028 internship period.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited program in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (preferred).
• Graduation between Dec 2027 and Jun 2028 (preferred).
• Start date between May 2027 and Jun 2027 (preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist civil/structural design on energy infrastructure projects.
• Support analyses and project documentation.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on site visits.
• Assist with field data collection and walks at client sites.

What are skills that would be helpful to your success as a intern?

• Graduating with a bachelor's or master's degree from an ABET- accredited school in one of our listed preferred majors.
• Preferred grad date between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Available to start on an agreed upon date between May 2027 and June 2027.
• Preferred Courses:Steel, Concrete, and Structural Analysis.
• A solid working foundation with your major's core concepts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Ability to effectively problem solve.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites.
• Must be able to effectively navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns.
• Must be able to work outside.
• Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.

Interview and Employment Requirements:

• Completion of pre interview assessments.
• College transcript submitted for anyone under 1 year of experience post-graduation.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks according to company and client policies.
