Job summary

LPU Batangas invites Civil Engineering students to join a paid summer internship in Jacksonville, FL. You will gain hands-on experience across water distribution, reclamation, and power systems, visiting treatment plants and pump stations while observing field inspections and contractor meetings.

This program targets rising sophomores to seniors with a 3.0+ GPA and requires a transcript. Work is 32 hours per week for 13 weeks, with compensation determined by education and licensure.

Your Role

• Participate in JEA's paid 2027 Summer Internship Program as a Civil Engineering student.
• Gain real-world, on-the-job experience in water distribution, water reclamation, power generation, and distribution industries.
• Engage in meaningful projects across specialty areas.
• Visit water treatment plants, wastewater facilities, lift stations, and pump stations.
• Observe construction activities for utility projects including pipelines, tanks, and site improvements.
• Shadow inspectors or experienced engineers during contractor meetings and field checks.

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:

• Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher (copy of most recent transcript required).
• Available to work a 32-hour work week for 13 weeks between May and August in Jacksonville, FL.

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting salary for professional positions determined based on education, licenses, certifications, skills, experience, and alignment with similar roles within the organization.
• Starting hourly rate for positions with a pay step plan will be Step 1 of the corresponding union contract.
