Job summary

Halff is seeking a Civil Intern in our Richardson office for Summer 2027. You will assist on a variety of civil projects under a Professional Engineer and gain hands-on experience in design, drafting, and regulatory tasks.

The intern will work full-time, 40 hours/week, with opportunities to learn from seasoned professionals and collaborate with surveyors, architects, and contractors. This position emphasizes strong communication, organization, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering or ABET‑accredited equivalent.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Self-motivated with solid organizational skills.

• Perform drafting CAD work
• Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
• Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
• Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors

What You Will Need

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering Degree
• Great communication skills
• Solid relationship and team building skills
• Self-motivated and strong organization skills
