Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. is offering a 10-week Data Analyst Intern position to support the Data Strategy and Governance team. You will gain hands-on experience in data quality, governance processes, and AI governance while collaborating with business and technology stakeholders.

You will develop dashboards, analyze data, and communicate insights to drive data-driven decisions, with exposure to risk management and regulatory considerations in a corporate setting.

Qualifications

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or advanced degree program in Data Analytics, Data Science, CS,IS, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Economics, or related field.
• Technical skills: Power BI (preferred), Tableau, SQL, Excel, Python or other data analysis tools.
• Ability to commit to a full-time 10-week internship program.
• Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates initiative, curiosity, creativity, and a desire to learn emerging data and AI governance practices.

Role Overview

The Data Analyst Intern will support the Data Strategy and Governance team in advancing data, model, and AI governance initiatives across the organization. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience supporting data quality and governance processes and contributing to enterprise governance efforts. The intern will partner with business and technology stakeholders to help drive data‑driven decision‑making, improve governance practices, and support responsible management of data, models, and artificial intelligence solutions. This internship offers exposure to analytics, risk management, regulatory considerations, and emerging AI governance practices while developing valuable technical, analytical, and communication skills.

The target hiring range for this role may vary based on geographic location and other factors, including merit or performance, demonstrated proficiency, skills for the role, education, travel requirements, and experience.
