Job summary

Success On The Spectrum Smyrna is hiring a high-energy intern at our Smyrna location. You will receive free supervision and hands-on BCBA training, with a clear path to remaining with SOS as a BCBA for new sites after graduation.

Our program offers paid internship benefits, quarterly reviews, and opportunities to attend university tuition discounts through our partnerships. You will work 8:00am–4:00pm, with one in-home supervision slot weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree completed.
• Enrolled in a Master’s program and started BCBA coursework.
• No criminal background.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Able to lift at least 40 pounds, sit on the floor, and stay active.

Responsibilities

• Work in center Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:00pm.
• supervise in-home clients once per week 4:30pm–6:30pm.
• Assist with patient assessments and reassessments under BCBA supervision.
• Assist updates to treatment plans under BCBA supervision.
• Assist in training and supervision of behavior technicians, including evaluations and feedback.
• Attend staff meetings and provide patient updates.
• Collect data and report on IOA and fidelity of treatment.
• Conduct direct therapy and support behavior technicians to meet treatment goals.
• Maintain and organize patient materials for therapy.

Success On The Spectrum provides free supervision and hands-on training to individuals enrolled in a Board Certified Behavior Analyst school. SOS is an approved practicum site for many universities. Our university partnerships allow all SOS employees to access college tuition discounts!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Work In Center Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm
• Once per week, supervise in-home clients 4:30pm - 6:30pm
• Assist with patient assessments and reassessments for assigned caseload (VBMAPP, ABLLS, AFLS, Socially Savvy, ABAS-3, Vineland) under the supervision of the BCBA
• Assist in updates to patient treatment plans including but not limited to formal reports, intervention plans and teaching instructions under the direct supervision of the BCBA
• Assist in training and supervision of behavior technicians which includes but is not limited to formal evaluations, feedback and disciplinary actions
• Assist in parent training
• Attend bi-weekly ABA Staff Meeting and assist BCBA in the delivery of patient updates
• Gather data to provide feedback on staff trial counts, IOA and other reports to measure fidelity of treatment
• Conduct direct therapy, models and supports behavior technicians to achieve optimal expectations of direct treatment.
• Maintains and organizes patient materials necessary for therapy treatment
• Attend Quarterly in-service trainings and team bonding activities

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of Bachelor's degree completed
• Must be enrolled in a Masters program and started your BCBA coursework
• No criminal background
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Able to lift at least 40 pounds, to sit on the floor, and to be physically active
