Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an Intern, Integration/Test Engineering, to support the setup, configuration, and documentation of hardware and software systems under test at our Herndon, VA site. The role emphasizes test plan development, requirements traceability, and performance analysis across multiple devices.

You will participate in failure investigations, present strategies to stakeholders, and assist in formal acceptance testing activities while developing practical testing solutions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in EE/CS/CE at an accredited university.
• Familiarity with test automation, networks, RF and related test equipment is preferred.

Job Description

• Support the set-up, configuration, and documentation of hardware and software systems under test, including loading software onto multiple devices
• Support design, development, and implementation of cost-effective procedures for testing and troubleshooting of components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and systems
• Support development of test plans, test procedures, requirements traceability, test reports, test flow, and test case design and implementation
• Document testing issues and failures and perform analysis of test results
• Support formal systems acceptance testing activities
• Present test strategies, plans, and results to internal and external customers
• Support failure investigation activities and failure review board (FRB) meetings

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, a Master’s degree, or a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related field at an accredited university.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of communications systems, software programming languages, automated software test, networks, network security, power systems, antennas, RF, and/or mechanical design and analysis
• Desired skills include requirements analysis and verification, software scripting and usage of automated testing frameworks and application

PAY TRANSPARENCY

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Virginia (Greater D.C. area) is $25.50 per hour - $48.00 per hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
