Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Herndon, VA, seeks an Intern in Integration/Test Engineering to support hardware and software testing, develop test plans, and document results. You will assist with test procedures, traceability, and reports while engaging with customers and internal teams.

Preferred candidates are pursuing degrees in EE/CS/CE and have interest in communications, software testing, RF, and mechanical design aspects. On-site work with a 9/80 schedule is provided in the Greater DC area.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field at an accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and document hardware and software systems under test, including loading software onto devices.
• Assist design, development, and implementation of cost-effective testing procedures for components, sub-assemblies, and systems.
• Develop test plans, procedures, requirements traceability, test reports, flow, and test case design/implementation.
• Document testing issues and failures and analyze test results.
• Support formal systems acceptance testing activities.
• Present test strategies, plans, and results to internal and external customers.
• Support failure investigation activities and FRB meetings.

Job Schedule: 9/80:Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off

Job Description:

• Support the set-up, configuration, and documentation of hardware and softwaresystems under test, including loading software onto multiple devices

• Knowledge of communications systems, software programming languages, automated softwaretest, networks, network security, power systems, antennas, RF, and/or mechanicaldesign and analysis
• Desired skills include requirements analysis and verification, software scripting andusage of automated testing frameworks and application

PAY TRANSPARENCY

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Virginia (Greater D.C. area) is $25.50 per hour - $48.00 per hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
