Job summary

Micron Technology seeks an Intern - Automation, Operations Improvement in our research and development factory. You will work on projects that optimize automation and improve team and process efficiency.

This role provides exposure to massive data sets and opportunities to integrate data into applications and automation solutions that help users perform their jobs faster and more accurately. A strong growth trajectory and hands-on learning in a highly automated environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Perl, Python, and VBA.
• Strong skills in data analysis and visualization using Excel and Tableau.
• Ability to plan, drive, and complete projects effectively.
• Familiarity with using AI to automate processes and data scripting.

As an Intern - Automation, Operations Improvement in our research and development factory, you will work on projects that further optimize our very automated factory and improve the efficiency of both team members and processes. This role will provide exposure to massive data sets that will challenge your ability to integrate this data into applications and automation solutions that help our user to do their jobs faster, more effectively, and more accurately. This role will provide an excellent opportunity to grow you skills while working on a real world project.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with various interested parties to identify, clarify, and assemble project requirements
• Review options with the customers to help design the optimal solution
• Identify and document defects and improvements
• Participate with end users in integration and user acceptance testing
• Document (technical specifications, test plans, deployment plans, etc.)

Qualifications

• Understanding of core database management methods, covering both relational (SQL, Snowflake) and NoSQL (MongoDB) data stores.
• Solid understanding of programming languages such as C#, Perl, Python, VBA. (Python preferred)
• Ability to plan, drive, and complete projects effectively.
• Strong proficiency with Excel, Tableau or other data management and visualization software.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with using AI to automate process, organize data or scripting creation.

Education

Working towards completion of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the following areas: Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
