Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking an intern for the Wet Process Equipment Development Engineering group. You will design, mature, and optimize wet process equipment for Micron's memory parts, while tackling ambitious technical problems to advance the roadmap.

The role emphasizes curiosity in engineering problem solving, independence, and teamwork, with a strong safety focus and opportunities to present results and impact product development.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Engineering or related Science field.
  • Not graduating before September 2027; willingness to learn AI and apply it daily.

As an intern in the Wet Process Equipment Development Engineering group at Micron, you will gain hands‑on experience in designing, maturing, and optimizing Wet Process equipment for Micron's groundbreaking memory parts.

Together, we will tackle ambitious technical problems to further develop innovative equipment to enable the Micron product roadmap.

This position requires that you have a strong curiosity about engineering problem solving and innovation, and the skills to work both independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Having a 'Safety First' approach.
  • Presenting and articulating your work.
  • Conducting experiments to understand the technical limitations of current equipment capability.
  • Developing in-process hardware and analytical techniques.
  • Performing statistical data analysis to validate equipment hardware capability.
  • Solving sophisticated engineering problems related to Wet Process hardware.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a career in semiconductor industry and working towards a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Engineering or a related Science field (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, etc.).
  • Does not graduate prior to September 2027 and incorporating AI: You will use your AI proficiency, AI-enabled ways of working or the willingness to learn AI and incorporate it into your daily tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Effective interpersonal skills with customers, collaborators, and managers.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and having a focus on meeting commitments.
  • An electromechanical or hardware-derived work history/education with an understanding of semiconductor equipment.
  • Strong digital literacy with the ability to learn new programs quickly and make guided decisions based on data analysis.
