Virtusa is seeking an Intern-AI associate in New Jersey. The role targets graduates with a Master’s degree in AI, ML, Data Science, or CS with a specialization in AI/ML/Data Science.

The intern will engage in building ML-based models, optimizing existing solutions, and exploring domain applications across industries such as finance and insurance. The position emphasizes hands-on research in Deep Learning, Generative AI, and explainable AI, with a focus on Python programming and practical problem

Qualificações

• Master's degree required in AI/ML/Data Science or CS with AI/ML/Data Science specialization.
• Strong foundation in ML/DL concepts and algorithms.
• Hands-on experience with Python and ML libraries is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze natural language and quantitative problems to build ML-based models/solutions.
• Optimize existing ML models and solutions.
• Understand business problems and explore new domains (finance, insurance, etc.).
• Research and implement solutions including Deep Learning, Generative AI, and agentic architectures.
• Stay updated on AI/ML models and their real-world applicability.
• Implement explainable and performance-optimized solutions.
• Program in Python.

Educational Qualification

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to analyze natural language and quantitative problems to produce Machine Learning based models/solutions.
• Optimization of existing machine learning models and solutions.
• Comprehensive analysis and understanding of a business problem statement, passion and willingness to explore and learn domains including finance, insurance etc.
• Research and implement solutions that will include Deep Learning, Generative AI, Agentic architecture based implementations, fine tuning of small language models.
• Keeping abreast of AI and ML models and their applicability in real world context
• Implement solutions with explainability and optimized performance
• Programming skills in python.
