Job summary

TMSA Triangle Apex in Apex, North Carolina seeks an Intern Admin to support instructional leadership and program development. The role helps ensure high standards of teaching and learning through curriculum alignment and targeted staff development.

The intern will participate in classroom walkthroughs, assist with testing, and contribute to the STEM designation process while helping plan and deliver professional development for teachers and staff.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in education or related field preferred.
  • Current North Carolina Administrator License preferred, or in the process of obtaining.
  • Minimum 3 years of classroom teaching experience.
  • Willingness and ability to relocate to another TMSA campus upon completion of the internship program.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure alignment between school curriculum and the state’s accountability program.
  • Implement MTSS processes to support student success.
  • Deliver results-oriented professional development based on school needs.
  • Collaborate with staff in instructional planning.
  • Conduct fair and consistent evaluations within set timelines.
  • Maintain open, timely communication with staff, parents, and students.
  • Promote school accomplishments across internal and external communities.
  • Analyze student performance data and facilitate data-driven instructional meetings.
  • Leverage technology to support school management and instructional improvement.
  • Maintain positive student behavior across school environments.
  • Actively involved in application to NC STEM designation.

Job Description

Job Title: Intern Admin

Reports To: Principal

Contract Length: 220 Days

Primary Role:

Provide leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service. Support the systematic study and analysis of the teaching-learning process and assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of instructional programs. Contribute to the alignment and implementation of quality curriculum to enhance student achievement. Help plan and deliver professional development for teachers and staff.

Make classroom walkthroughs and observations. Assist with testing. Help with application to STEM designation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Instructional Leadership
