Great West Casualty Company is seeking an Accounting Intern in South Sioux City, NE. You will support daily accounting operations, assist with A/P and A/R, and help prepare financial data and reports under close supervision.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Junior or Senior standing preferred.
• Minimum GPA 3.0 preferred.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and MS Office.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting operations and financial reporting activities.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial data, reports, and reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
• Review financial records for accuracy and completeness.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis projects.
• Help maintain accounting documentation and records.
• Collaborate with team on process improvement initiatives.
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
