Job summary

LPL Financial is offering a Cybersecurity Internship designed to provide hands-on experience across cloud, network, IAM, application security and risk management. Interns will monitor security tools, assist incident response, support vulnerability management and contribute to security projects.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in cybersecurity or related IT fields, with strong analytical and team skills, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems or related IT field.
  • Foundational cybersecurity knowledge in authentication, encryption, access control and network security.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; ability to learn quickly in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security tools, dashboards and alerts to identify threats and anomalies.
  • Support incident response by analyzing events and documenting findings.
  • Assist with vulnerability assessments and remediation tracking.
  • Contribute to cloud, application or network security projects.
  • Support IAM reviews, access governance and security documentation.
  • Collaborate across teams to improve security posture and risk management.
