Job summary

Verdantas LLC in Mentor, Ohio, seeks a Civil intern for Summer 2027 to work on real engineering projects under the guidance of a collaborative team.

You will gain hands-on experience in design, data analysis, and fieldwork, with opportunities to develop CAD/GIS drawings and cost-estimating templates. Travel may be required, and prior Co‑Op or internship is a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to travel.
• Previous engineering Co-op or internship is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing engineering-related calculations, design drawings, specifications, and visual aids.
• Assist with fieldwork (site inspections, surveys, GPS mapping).
• Research, collect, enter data, and apply technical principles to interpret data.
• Review submittals and technical documents for project compliance and prepare draft documents.
• Prepare CAD and GIS drawings and documents.
• Annual update of cost-estimating database.
• Prepare and update design and calculation templates.
• Miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis.

Verdantas is seeking a driven Civil intern for Summer 2027 at our Mentor, Ohio location. We are looking for a talented and inquisitive engineering intern who is eager to apply their skills in a real-world setting and learn from experienced professionals. This internship offers hands-on exposure to engineering projects that make a tangible impact, along with mentorship from a collaborative team that values innovation and curiosity. What You’ll Do:

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Must be able to write effectively and articulate outcomes to clients and team members
• The position may include travel
• Previous engineering Co‑Op or Internship experience a plus

Salary Range: $23.00
