Job summary

Verdantas invites applications for a Civil Intern Summer 2027 in Mentor, Ohio. The intern will support engineering projects, gain hands-on experience, and learn from seasoned professionals in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

You’ll work on design drawings, field surveys, data collection, and CAD/GIS tasks while developing professional skills for a future engineering career.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing engineering-related calculations, design drawings, specifications, and visual aids.
• Assist with fieldwork (e.g., site inspections, surveys, GPS mapping).
• Research, collect, and enter data, applying technical principles to assist in interpreting and analyzing data.
• Review submittals and technical documents to assess compliance with project requirements and prepare draft documents.
• Prepare CAD and GIS drawings and documents.
• Annual update of cost-estimating database.
• Prepare and update design and calculation templates.
• Miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis.
