Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Student Worker/Intern to support Project Managers and Consultants on environmental investigation, remediation, compliance, health and safety, sustainability, and due diligence projects within our Environment and Health practice.

You will gain hands-on experience while delivering innovative, sustainable solutions for clients, the environment, and society under supervision.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a BS or MS in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering or related environmental science
  • Strong computer skills including high level use of spreadsheets and word processing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to understand and interpret environmental regulations
  • Strong organization and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team

Responsibilities

  • Preparing emissions calculations
  • Conducting research on current environmental regulations and technologies
  • Assisting in preparing permit applications and environmental impact reports to clients and governmental agencies
  • Generating application forms and spreadsheets
  • Delivering permitting actions to local government agencies
  • Completing administrative tasks
  • Special projects as directed

As our new Student Worker/Intern, you will be working with Project Managers and other Consultants on a variety of environmental investigation/remediation, environmental compliance, health and safety, sustainability, and due diligence projects within our broad Environment and Health practice. You will help deliver innovative, inspiring, and sustainable solutions that set new standards and make a genuine difference to our clients, the environment, and society.

  • Candidates must be working on a BS or MS in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering or other related environmental science discipline

Salary Transparency Statement

At Ramboll, we are committed to fair and transparent compensation practices that support our people and our purpose of creating sustainable societies. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $20 to $25 hourly. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. Because we operate across multiple U.S. markets, pay may differ depending on the cost of labor in specific locations. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well‑being, professional development, and work‑life balance.
