Job summary

ConGlobal is seeking an Intermodal Equipment Operator to move shipping containers within our intermodal yard. You’ll operate hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, performing safety inspections and coordinating with yard staff to keep freight moving on schedule.

The role requires outdoor work in varying weather, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and open availability including weekends. A valid driver’s license is required with pre-employment screenings; competitive pay and benefits are

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment in logistics/industrial settings.
• Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Open availability including weekends/holidays.
• Valid driver’s license; pre-employment screening.
• Must pass background check and drug screening as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to load/unload containers from railcars and trucks.
• Move containers with hostlers and position chassis in the yard.
• Use top loaders, side loaders, and cranes to stack and relocate containers.
• Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections for safety.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to schedule moves and tasks.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following established procedures.
