Job summary

Werner Enterprises seeks an Intermodal Rail Operations Manager to bridge the Customer Account Management and Intermodal Execution teams. You will own all rail carrier relationships across North America, drive cost-reducing strategies, and oversee scheduling and transit visibility.

The role emphasizes data-driven oversight and cross-functional collaboration with IT for APIs and reporting. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in intermodal transportation are expected, with a proven track record

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
• 5+ years in intermodal transportation, rail operations, or drayage management.
• Experience coordinating cross‑functional teams between account management and execution.

Responsibilities

• Primary rail carrier relationships owner and schedule owner for all rail carriers.
• Establish, maintain and publish transit times across all customer lanes serviced by intermodal.
• Track and report monthly Railroad Performance Scorecards (on-time service, line-haul, dwell times).
