Job summary

Parsec, LLC, based in Memphis, TN, is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead intermodal equipment maintenance programs and manage a fast-paced operation. You will oversee safety, invoicing, eligibility of mechanics, and maintenance procedures for hostlers, diesel equipment, forklifts, and trailing equipment, ensuring compliance with railroad and FMCSA guidelines.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background, a post-secondary qualification, and at least 5 years of supervisory maintenance

Qualifications

Post-Secondary Certificate or Degree related to Mechanical, Maintenance, or Engineering is required.
Journeyman Certification in Maintenance of Road or Off-road equipment is desirable.
Strong mechanical background is essential.
Minimum 5 years of management or supervision experience in maintenance of equipment.

Responsibilities

Ensure mechanics perform their work within safety guidelines set forth by Parsec.
Process maintenance-related invoices and audit invoices as required.
Ensure that all mechanics have the required experience, qualifications, and licenses to perform their duties.
Investigate all damage claims to chassis, equipment, and containers to improve procedures and minimize damage.
Perform routine maintenance on hostlers, diesel equipment, forklifts, and trailing equipment per manufacturer and company schedules.
Follow a checklist of inspections and procedures.
Ensure maintenance and repairs comply with railroad, IEP, manufacturer, and FMCSA guidelines.
