Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Lithia Springs, Georgia is seeking an Intermodal Internship to support our Supply Chain operations on a part-time basis. You will assist with transportation/logistics services and gain hands-on exposure to daily freight planning and driver coordination.

The role emphasizes learning basic transportation management principles and participating in duties across DOT compliance, payroll, and operations. Great for students pursuing logistics careers.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree or graduate degree program in good standing at an accredited college or university.
• Must be able to work 20-25 hours a week during the school semester.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to basic transportation management principles.
• Participate in daily operational tasks including planning of freight, asset utilization, safety management, DOT compliance, driver payroll, and logistics analysis.
• Assist with understanding industry trends and company initiatives related to driver retention.
• Perform account-specific duties as required by customers and assist other related duties as assigned.
