Job summary

ConGlobal in Illinois is hiring immediately for an Intermodal Equipment Operator (Terminal Operator) to move shipping containers within our intermodal yard. You’ll operate hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders to load, unload, and relocate containers as part of daily logistics operations.

Open availability, including weekends and holidays, and a valid driver’s license are required. You will perform equipment inspections, coordinate with yard personnel, and maintain safe work practices.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment in logistics or industrial settings.
• Must pass pre-employment background, physical, and drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Open availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong safety focus and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis in the yard.
• Use top loaders, side loaders, and cranes to move and stack containers.
• Perform Groundman duties during training, assisting with railroad maintenance.
• Conduct equipment inspections before and after use for safety.
• Coordinate moves with yard personnel and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following protocols.
