Job summary

W.W. Rowland Trucking Company, LLC in Charleston, SC is seeking an Operations Dispatcher with 2-3 years of dispatcher experience in intermodal transportation. The role is on-site, Monday through Friday, 8a-5p, and supports the Terminal Manager, acting as back-up to CSR during peak periods.

The candidate will coordinate with drivers, monitor routes using ELD systems, maintain records, and ensure DOT/FMCSA compliance. International port experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years dispatcher experience in trucking/logistics.
• International port experience a plus.
• On-site work Mon-Fri 8a-5p.
• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with drivers to provide delivery instructions and monitor progress.
• Track driver locations and progress using ELD systems.
• Serve as a point of contact for drivers, customers, and staff; backup CSR during peak periods.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and schedules.
• Collaborate with Terminal Manager on driver training.
• Additional duties as assigned.
