Job summary

ConGlobal is hiring an experienced Container/Chassis Mechanic for our Cincinnati, Ohio maintenance team. You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain intermodal chassis and containers to meet safety and operational standards.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, adherence to DOT regulations, and the ability to work outdoors and lift up to 50 lbs. Starting pay ranges from $27.07 to $33.26 per hour, with full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in chassis/trailer repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of brake systems, lights, tires, and framework.
• Basic welding skills preferred but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and safety focus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors.
• Valid driver’s license and own hand tools.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain intermodal chassis, containers, and trailers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues on chassis equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and DOT inspections.
• Weld, cut, and fabricate parts as needed for repairs.
• Complete repair documentation and work orders.
• Operate tools and shop equipment safely.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
• Collaborate with other technicians and assist with yard moves.
