Job summary

Schneider National is seeking qualified drivers for its intermodal fleet in Gary, Indiana. You will haul automotive freight in containers on company-owned chassis, with 100% no-touch work and mostly drop-and-hook operations, driving to railyards across IL, IN, MI and OH.

Expect competitive mileage and hourly pay on duty plus a $12,000 sign-on bonus paid over the first year, paid orientation, time off after six months, and an annual bonus up to 3% of gross pay.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Tanker endorsement and HazMat endorsement are strongly preferred.
• Live within 50 miles of Gary, IN.
• Minimum 3 months of Class A driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Haul automotive freight in containers secured to company-owned chassis.
• Operate 100% no-touch freight that is 90% drop-and-hook.
• Drive in and out of railyards within IL, IN, MI and OH.
