Job summary

Schneider National is seeking drivers for intermodal work in New York, hauling containers on company chassis with a high drop-and-hook rate. You will operate at railyards across upstate New York, excluding New York City, and enjoy a mix of mileage, load pay, and on-duty hourly pay.

Sign-on bonuses are available: up to $20,000 for experienced drivers and $5,000 for newer drivers, plus paid orientation and time off after six months. A comprehensive benefits package and annual bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Tanker endorsement strongly preferred.
• Live within 25 miles of Rochester, NY or 50 miles of Buffalo, NY.

Responsibilities

• Haul freight containers secured to company-owned chassis.
• Drive in and out of railyards within New York but no New York City.
