Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking an Intermodal Carrier Account Manager in Irving, TX to serve as the primary liaison between NFI and third-party intermodal drayage carriers. You will monitor shipment performance, plan loads, and respond quickly to customer and driver needs while collaborating across departments.

Qualifications

BA or BS degree preferred.
3-5 years brokerage experience preferred with domestic truckload, LTL and intermodal shipments.
Familiarity with DOT trucking regulations (Hours of Service, Claims etc).
Proficient in using MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment using multiple applications and handling a high volume of calls.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Rudimentary knowledge of TMS programs used for brokerage services.
Familiarity with External and Internal NFI pricing tools.

Responsibilities

Load planning, optimization, routing and scheduling for intermodal moves.
Assess carriers against NFI standards to deliver high service levels.
Respond to customer/driver needs via email, phone, tracking and movement updates.
Monitor lanes for market requirements and adjust to maximize efficiency.
Negotiate network and spot rates with carriers to drive revenue growth.
Collaborate with customers, vendors, drayage agents and internal teams to meet partner needs.
