Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Cemetery Grounds Maintenance Associate in the US-SC region. The role includes openings and closings for burials, setting memorials, installing containers, and handling family service requests.

You will perform grave preparation, maintain equipment, and ensure safety standards are followed. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least six months of equipment operation experience, with the ability to work in varying weather

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum six months experience operating standard equipment.
• Able to operate hand-held tools and equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Performs openings & closings for burials, entombments and inurnments.
• Sets, installs, and assembles foundations, memorials, and markers.
• Installs outer burial containers.
• Handles and completes work orders from client families for grave/marker maintenance.
• Responds to service/work order requests and completes them.
• Conducts Interment Verification Procedures.
• Prepares burial areas within a 25-foot radius and keeps area clean and neat.
• Fills grave, tamps, seeds or sods.
