Job summary

Service Corporation International seeks a cemetery maintenance associate in Raleigh, NC. You will participate in openings and closings for burials, entombments and inurnments, and install memorials and markers as part of a team.

You will handle foundation work, install outer burial containers, and respond to service requests from families. The role requires operating heavy equipment, lifting up to 30 lbs, and adhering to safety rules.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of six (6) months experience operating standard equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to operate hand-held tools and equipment (shovel, rake, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Performs openings & closings for burials, entombments and inurnments.
• Sets, installs, and assembles foundations, memorials, and markers.
• Installs outer burial containers.
• Handles and completes work orders from client families as it pertains to individual grave and marker maintenance.
• Responds to and completes requests for service/work orders.
• Conducts Interment Verification Procedures.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Completes Dignity University courses and other training as assigned.
