Responsibilities

• Teach small group and large group lessons and rehearsals to beginning string students, focusing on proper posture, hand position, and characteristic tone production on orchestral string instruments.
• Develop and communicate a compelling artistic vision for the orchestra, selecting a diverse and challenging repertoire that enhances students' musical growth.
• Lead the orchestra in rehearsals and performances, providing expert instruction in technique, musicianship, and ensemble cohesion.
• Develop and implement effective rehearsal strategies that maximize productivity and artistic excellence.
• Offer individualized coaching and mentorship to students, fostering their technical skills, musicality, and confidence.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that encompasses a wide range of musical styles and periods, promoting a well-rounded orchestral education.
• Encourage and support students in their pursuit of musical excellence, providing opportunities for solo and ensemble performances.
• Guide students in preparing for auditions, competitions, and further musical education or careers.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the administration.
