Job summary

The Northeastern School District is seeking an Intermediate School Chorus Director to lead and cultivate the chorus program for the district's middle schools. The role focuses on developing vocal skills, musicality, and ensemble cohesion through engaging rehearsals and performances.

You will select appropriate repertoire, guide rehearsals, and provide individualized coaching to help students grow confidently as singers and performers. Prior music education experience is expected.

Responsibilities

• Select grade level appropriate repertoire that enhances students' vocal skills and musical appreciation.
• Lead the chorus in rehearsals and performances, providing instruction in vocal technique, musicianship, and ensemble cohesion.
• Develop and implement effective rehearsal strategies that maximize productivity and artistic excellence.
• Offer individualized coaching and mentorship to students, fostering their vocal skills, musicality, and confidence.
• Ensure all performances are of the highest quality, showcasing the talents and progress of the choir.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the administration.
